What is the difference between AutoCAD,
SketchUp and Cinema 4D?
AutoCAD is an application primarily used for drawing 2D designs used heavily in urban planning, graphic designers, civil engineers and architects. SketchUp is a modelling tool for 3D designs used by interior designers, architects and product designers. Cinema 4D is also a 3D design application with tools in motion graphics and animation, used extensively in game development.
Which of the modelling tools is best
suited to 2D and which for 3D?
AutoCAD allows users to draft and design 2D and 3D models with realistic representations of meshes and solid surfaces. Cinema 4D offers 3D modelling with motion graphics and animations, and SketchUp also offers 3D modelling with a fast learning curve and includes customisable palettes, lighting effects and access to Trimble 3D warehouse.
What is the best course for a
beginner to 3D modelling?

Do you offer custom 3D modelling
design work for clients?
Yes we offer custom 3D modelling design. Using SketchUp and other applications, we provide consultancy to work with clients on their project, offering smaller input where required through to handling full projects. Our consultancy begins with our experts assessing your project requirements to help you get projects off the ground even in the absence of digital data, develop concepts into final products and support your progress through remote sessions and file sharing.

The 2 day training course was very informative and engaging. There was a lot of really useful techniques that we can take forward in our day to day working. We learnt new skills, such as animation, that was clearly demonstrated and done in a way that was easy to follow along. It was good to ask any specific questions about lighting and material creation that we struggle with or need further help with, and that was answered and explained.

Max C. has delivered the 2-day SketchUp course very well. He was clear and concise, and delivered the course with lots of humour and a friendly, positive attitude. He was able to start from absolute basics for those on the course who had never used SketchUp before, but he also provided lots of high-level expertise which was very useful to me - a SketchUp user with a few years of self-taught experience. Max is an excellent teacher, and this was a very positive experience.

My knowledge of Sketchup miniscule compraed to fellow delegates who had spent many hours working with product. I had spent less than 2 hours and enrolled thinking other delegates would have same experience. Max and my fellow delegates were kind, generous and patient with an old snail in their midst. I also was unaware how different the iPad version is to Windows and MAC

I had an ok understanding of sketchup prior to attending this course. I used it whilst at university but did't really have any formal training. I really enjoyed the course. Max was an amazing instructor, his knowledge was endless and he was light hearted and good humoured which kept me engaged. I learned a lot and had a great time.

- Some students require more structure in a learning environment (set tasks with a time frame) - PDF files available on the day would have been useful - The trainer would go off tangent to show their advanced work quite often to show what was possible in Sketch-Up instead of keeping focus of training those new to the program with mastering the basics

The software itself is highly complicated but very rewarding. I really enjoyed my experience in the class with Ricardo, he was very knowledgable and was acommodating to my online tuition experience both in a classroom with other students and in the private session. Look forward to developing my knowledge of Cinema 4D would recommend this course.

Whilst I have scored the majority of questions high, I did find the course extremelly difficult as Ive never seen AC before and maybe being of a mature age I found it difficult to retain most of the information when instructions were even - for myself I perhaps would have benefited from step by step rather than a few instructions at a time. This is no refection on Ricardo as he was on hand each time i needed help which I felt was all the time. Unfortunately I didnt enjoy the course as i felt completely out of my depth. The reason I scored IT equipment lower was because there was a grafics issue where items you were clicking didnt highlight as they were doing on the monitor I was training from (middle monitor)

As it was my first time using sketch up, it was a very useful course and obviously there is a lot more to learn than what can be covered in two days. I feel we have covered good ground to expand on. It would be great to get some training materials of what we covered on the course.
