What is the difference between Adobe InDesign,
Photoshop and Illustrator?

InDesign is the industry standard layout design tool offering multiple page capabilities and individual page customising and text wrapping, perfect for layout design for brochures, newsletters, books and PDFs with multiple pages. Illustrator is a versatile vector-based application, with functionality suited to web graphics, icons, logos and full single page documents and rather than multi-page. Photoshop is at its most powerful when editing pixel-based images photos and images that are free from text, used largely in creating banner ads, video graphics and thumbnails, icons and images for digital use, and photos and images for print.

Which of the design applications is
best suited to my project needs?

Douglas explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, even for beginners. He used simple, layman’s terms, which made the learning process a lot smoother. He was very patient throughout the session, giving both myself and my colleague enough time to ask questions and work through the tasks without feeling rushed. This made it easier to grasp the concepts. Overall. the training was really helpful, and I now feel more confident using Adobe InDesign thanks to Douglas’ approachable teaching style.

I have been very satisfied from day one. I have been to other course providers previously and cannot say that my experience and well being was so looked after as it was at xchange. Starting from the spacious tables and rooms. The convenience of picking favourite operating system, the latest equipment. The convenience of the dual monitor set up, being able to see i tractors screen at all times, the tea, coffee and snacks, the lunch. But most of all the teacher. I was hoping to get a good teacher, and I got an amazing one. She has proven and provided us with top class training, knowledge and a very well planned course. There wasn’t a moment where the lesson felt boring. I loved the unique learning experience and would totally recommend to people I know.

Phil was an excellent instructor. He explained everything so clearly, demonstrated things slowly and gave us time us to practice. He would always check in on us to ensure we understand everything. The content I learnt was invaluable and I will use throughout my career as a designer.
