Course Details
This 1-day Introduction course will enhance your existing knowledge of Adobe InDesign CC by focusing on ePub, which is the digital-publishing format used to produce content for a wide variety of eReaders such as Kindle, iPad, iPhone, Sony Reader, Nook, and many more. We will show you how to take your existing layouts and publish them for these devices. With our help, you will learn how InDesign makes the publishing process straightforward, even if you have never used ePub before.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

This course is provided at the XChange Training London training centre based at:

EC1M 4BHSt John’s Lane is located in the heart of Clerkenwell close to the junction of Farringdon and Clerkenwell Road. Farringdon tube & train station is just a few minutes away and the training centre can also be accessed from Chancery Lane and Barbican tubes in about 10 minutes. There is also easy direct access by bus from Waterloo (243) and West End (55) with nearby stops.
Daily course times run between 10am and 4:30pm with an hour break for lunch and both mid morning and mid-afternoon refreshment breaks. We recommend arrival at 9.45am for registration on the first day of the course.

Phil gave a really in depth training with In Design, and was really helpful with any questions I had. Phil went at a good pace and allowed time for everyone to write notes and make sure everyone had got all the information they need. I really enjoyed this course and feel it will help me massively with my work. I have learned lots of short cuts too! :)

Douglas explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, even for beginners. He used simple, layman’s terms, which made the learning process a lot smoother. He was very patient throughout the session, giving both myself and my colleague enough time to ask questions and work through the tasks without feeling rushed. This made it easier to grasp the concepts. Overall. the training was really helpful, and I now feel more confident using Adobe InDesign thanks to Douglas’ approachable teaching style.

The course was an excellent introduction to Indesign. There was lots of content. Donna, the instructor was really knowledgeable and approachable. I did struggle to keep up with some topics that were not familiar to me. But I have come away from the course with much more knowledge than I had before and with the course files and notes I have plenty to work with to move forward with Indesign.

Phil was an excellent instructor. He explained everything so clearly, demonstrated things slowly and gave us time us to practice. He would always check in on us to ensure we understand everything. The content I learnt was invaluable and I will use throughout my career as a designer. It was also extremely helpful when he would highlight subjects that would be covered on the exam (I'd suggest all instructors should do this). I felt very prepared for the exam and passed with a good mark. All credit to Phil for the support and knowledge.

The course gave an excellent intro into indesign and helped me unlearn lots of bad habits I've picked up from trying to teach myself! The desktop set up was great - really useful to be able to see the screen and follow along. Donna was really knowledgeable and gave clear, easy to follow instructions helping to demystify all the different tools and make them easier to use. The content covered feels like a great starting point to take forward for my current needs. I would definitely recommend the course to my colleagues/friends!

I would not recommend grouping one person with another large group from another company. It becomes focused on their needs and requirements, and the other person often feels as if their requirements are not considered. There were many occassions where what was being talked about at considerable length was very specific to the other group and not me at all, but there was no time to explore areas that were relevant for me and my job.
